Ministries
Eucharistic Ministers - Ordinary Ministers of the Eucharist attend an orientation session and are commissioned by the Archdiocese to serve in the parish. Eucharistic Ministers distribute the Eucharist at Mass as assistants to the priest when other ordained ministers are not readily available. Some of these ministers bring the Eucharist to the infirm or housebound.

Liturgy Committee - The Liturgy Committee is composed of various parishioners with expertise in the liturgy. This committee co-ordinates the various liturgical ministries in the parish. The Liturgy Committee also plans the church environment for various seasons of the liturgical year.

Knights of Peter Claver - render service to God and His Holy Church, render aid and assistance to the sick and disabled, and promote social and intellectual association among our members.

Ladies Auxiliary of Peter Claver - render service to God and His Holy Church, render aid and assistance to the sick and disabled, and promote social and intellectual association among our members.

Jr. Knights/Jr. Daughters of Peter Claver - render service to God and His Holy Church, render aid and assistance to the sick and disabled, and promote social and intellectual association among our members.



Proclaimers of the Word - The Proclaimers of the Word/lectors are instituted to proclaim the readings from Sacred Scripture, with the exception of the gospel reading.
Money Counters - These individuals are responsible for counting offertory collections and making deposits for the church collections.
Ushers - This ministry of hospitality includes greeting and welcoming as well as seating and taking up church collections. They hospitality and welcoming to parishioners and visitors alike, they welcome worshippers before mass and distribute bulletins at the end.
Women of Praise - Use Praise dance as a form of worship that seeks to articulate the word and spirit of God through the body.
Gospel Choir/Hispanic Choir/Mens Choir - The four functions are to lead and enliven the congregation's song, to sing music that the congregation cannot, to serve as a small-group within the church for faith formation, and to sing beautiful and challenging music to glorify God and to edify the congregation.
Mens Club - This group works to unify and embolden men of the church in service to the parish as a whole.
Sisters in the Spirit - The Sisters in the Spirit is a lay service organization founded to support women through prayer and supplication and provide service and support where needed. As a group of Catholic Women of African Descent, the purpose shall be actualized through the work of the Sisters in providing love, support, and spiritual and social fellowship.
Society of St. Vincent de Paul - The Society exists to serve people in need of food, and rental or utility assistance when funds are available.
Legion of Mary - The Legion sees as its priority the spiritual and social welfare of each individual. The members participate in the life of the parish through visitation of families, the sick, both in their homes and in hospitals and through collaboration in every apostolic and missionary undertaking sponsored by the parish. Every legionary is required to carry out a weekly apostolic work in the spirit of faith and in union with Mary.
Baptism Ministry - This ministry provides parish welcome and hospitality to families bringing their children to the Sacrament of Baptism. This ministry attends the pre-baptismal parent/sponsor preparation class.
Altar Servers - Altar servers minister for liturgical events in the parish. Boys and girls, from the fourth grade up, are invited to join. Experienced altar servers fully train newcomers.
